I think it was from when I was returned to ‘Raith’ Children’s home around Christmas in 1967, by foster parent’s who had a very young child to bring up and could not have me stay anymore. That incident gave me lifelong discomfort when spending Christmas with others, not that the family knew it would the case. In my file it was noted that the husband gave ultimatum; either he goes or I do. A terrible situation for them both.
As I go along from here the content will definitely not be a linear narrative- as thoughts come and go, but hopefully it will be coherent 🙂
